Welcome and thank you for visiting Marry Over 40 By Faith! I'm Cynthia Wilson James.

My inspiration for this website is my journey to marriage at age 40, conceiving naturally, and giving birth at ages 42 and 44 to healthy babies. They are now thriving young adults!

I'm real-life proof that with God, all things are possible, even marriage and motherhood later in life!

My Story

I got married for the first time at age 40 to my best friend, Larry, on the beautiful island of Jamaica. My engagement to the wedding story has all the comedy and drama that would make a great feel-good movie! Larry called me at 3 in the morning to confess his love. Despite all the twists and turns, our friendship survived, and our love grew!

I conceived naturally and gave birth at ages 42 and 44 to healthy, beautiful babies.

Because I have walked the paths of getting married and giving birth later in life, I understand how older Christian Single women sometimes battle with doubt, discouragement, or the feeling that it’s “too late” for marriage and motherhood.

I offer support through this website and InSeason Mom. I also offer live coaching and can be booked for speaking engagements. I offer dating advice on YouTube.

I've been married for 26 years! Faith and experience have taught me that everyone has different seasons in life. My sisters, be encouraged. There is a Power Greater Than Circumstances. There is Hope! There is God!
