Your Journey Towards Marriage

If you’re a Christian single woman over 35 or 40 who wants to get married, it’s important to know the signs of those who aren't on the marriage journey with you.

Mismatched Commitment Signs

Some red flags that indicate that he’s not on the same marriage journey as you:

  • He’s the man you’ve been in a relationship with for years, and he still hasn’t married you.

  • He’s the man you’ve been in a relationship with, and his emotional and physical abuse doesn’t seem that bad anymore.

  • He’s the man you’ve been in a relationship with for years, and he’s still trying to get out of another complicated relationship.

  • He’s the man you’ve been in a relationship with for years who doesn’t believe in marriage because he’s never seen a good one and doesn’t want to put you through a divorce.

Courage to Move On

If you’re a Christian single woman over 35 or 40 and want to get married, you have to be honest about who isn’t actually walking toward marriage with you. Your time is precious (Psalm 90:12).

I won’t lie. Your heart may ache after leaving. A dysfunctional relationship can feel normal. You’ll remember all the nice things about it.

But, there’s another truth: Each day you spend in the wrong dating relationship is another day you miss out on the right relationship…attracting a man who sees your worth, your future husband.
